So this week was a really good week! I had a lot of interesting things happen.
On Monday we went to the mall, to go shopping and to eat at a restaurant.
Elder Riches and I ate at Mamoot. It is really good and it almost is like food
from the states so it makes us happy to eat there every once in a while.
On Tuesday we helped a member paint a room of her house. That was pretty
fun. I have painted a lot in this sector, but I love painting so that's ok.
After that we passed by the appointments we had, and nobody was there so we
decided to pass by for a man that I had talked with the other day. When we got
to his house he let us in, and the smell of acohol was strong. So he started
talking to us, and when drunk people start to talk, they don't stop... but
something interesting happened. As we sat there listening to this broken man
tell us about all of his problems, a feeling of love for that man came over me
that can only come from God. It was in that moment when I could honestly feel
the love that God has for each and every one of his children. I could feel that
even when we make mistake after mistake, if we humble ourselves and do what He
asks, He is willing to help us in every way possible. It was an unforgettable experience.
On Wednesday we had to wake up early to go to a meeting. So my towel was
hanging to dry from the day before in our bedroom. So when I went to shower I
grabbed it and put it in the bathroom. When I finished and grabbed my towel to
dry off, there was a huge spider on it!!! Pretty much I freaked out and threw
the towel on the ground and stomped on it. When the spiders can kill me, [Chilean Rincon spiders are more venomous than Brown Recluse. They are from the same family, but more dangerous.] I don't
mess with them. We had our missionary conference with President Essig. It was
a good conference, but that was the second time that I was listening to it so I
got a little bored. Then after we got back we had quite a few appointments
really close to each other, so we did divisions to try and do more than one
thing at a time. That night when we got back to the house, we found another
giant spider in the tub. So that's when I started to get worried, because there
are a lot of spiders coming out, and I just so happen to sleep on the upper
bunk... Closest to the deadly spiders... so I knew I wasn't going to be able to
sleep well. So I decided to pray and ask for protection from the spiders.
(lame right) but I learned a valuable lesson. As I was praying I still had the
fear of a spider biting me, but that's when I realized that Fear is the oppisite
of Faith. So I said to myself....I said a prayer and I know that I will be
protected, and that's when I felt that burning in the chest sensation, and I knew
that that is what faith is.

Then on Thursday we got a call from a recent convert saying that he lost his
$400 dog that was pregnant. So we went to help. Before we left to help
him, we offered a prayer. With my new experience about faith the night before,
I knew that if I asked without doubting anything that my prayer would be
answered. So I prayed that we could find the dog. We went and we looked half the
morning, and couldn't find her. So we left and told them that we would keep an
eye out while we walked around. That day we didn't find her. BUT, we did our
part, we went and looked! So now God took care of the rest. The next day in the
morning we got a call saying that they had found their dog! A man had found it
in the street and took it home to wait if someone would come looking for it.
Now the miracle is that he actually gave them back their $400 dog.
Then on Saturday we passed by some new investigators that we found and we
taught them the Restoration. We then invited them to come to church with us
the next day and they said yes!!!
On Sunday we had a BAPTISM!!!! Her name is Alison Aguilera. Her dad
baptized her after we reactivated her family!!! It was great! Finally we had a
baptism where nothing went wrong at the last minute and on top of that the
people that said that they were going to come to church actually came!!! I was
very impressed.
Alison and her family. Her little brother wouldn't get in the picture.
But I'm out of time. I love you all and miss you tons!!!
